This combination of fibres produces a very lovely, soft and drapey yarn. It is particularly well suited for shawls, and if you knit sweaters — which you certainly can — be aware that it may stretch 2 - 3 cm in length after some wear. Although it is a very soft yarn, if you are sensitive or allergic you should knit a swatch and wear it to test whether you can tolerate it. Alpaca fibres can be tricky for some people, even though they are soft.
