Mohair is not just mohair..... mohair is hair, not wool. Therefore, the shorter the hairs, the more it will itch — similar to having a very short haircut. For economic reasons, producers often shear the goats frequently to obtain more yarn rather than letting them grow long hair. The longer the hairs, the more they lie flat against the skin and therefore itch less. It is not recommended for allergy sufferers and thus has a category C, but if you are simply sensitive, I would still recommend trying this one, as it is truly different. This luxury mohair only runs 350m per 50g. It becomes very thick if you knit with two strands. Therefore, for example, PetiteKnits' "Kumulus sweater" would be fine in just one strand of this mohair.
