This combination of fibers produces a very lovely, soft and drapey yarn. It is especially suitable for shawls and, if you knit sweaters — which you certainly can — be aware that it may stretch 2 - 3 cm in length after some wear. Although it is a very soft yarn, if you are allergy-prone you should knit a swatch and wear it against your skin to test whether you can tolerate it. Alpaca fibers can be tricky for some, even though they are soft.
