Mohair is not just mohair..... mohair is hair and not wool. Therefore, the shorter the hairs are the more it itches - just like if we were very closely cropped. Economically, producers get more by shearing the goats often and thus obtain more yarn than by letting them grow long hair. The longer the hairs are, the more they lie flat against our skin and therefore itch less. It is not recommended for allergy sufferers and therefore it has a category C, but if you are "just" sensitive, I would still recommend you try this, because it really is different. This luxury mohair runs only 350m per 50g. It becomes very thick if you knit with two strands. Therefore, for example PetiteKnits' "Kumulus sweater" would be fine with just one strand of this mohair.
