Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped, so no mink die! The fibers are very soft but very short, so they are often spun together with other fibers to make the yarn durable enough for knitting without breaking. It can be knitted with a single strand into a lovely shawl or with two strands into a cozy sweater. There isn't much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which is even hand-dyed - win win......
